Triads and Their Inversions: We’ll dive into root, first, and second inversion triads, exploring each from different angles.
Open Voice Triads: Learn how to space out notes for a fuller sound, and get familiar with accessible ways to play these shapes across the neck.
Four-Note Chords (Seventh Chords): We’ll explore four-note voicings, such as major, minor, dominant, and half-diminished sevenths, in a way that makes them easier to approach and incorporate into your playing.
Practical, Playable Chord Shapes: We’ll use the “V System” to break down chords into shapes that are comfortable and fluid, even in tougher positions.
Using Melody with Harmony: You’ll learn to use melody lines over your chord voicings to create movement and bring more life to your playing.

Tim Lerch

World renowned Jazz and Blues guitarist, educator, popular YouTuber and Emmy award winning composer, Tim Lerch is a member of the legendary Northwest Gypsy Jazz Group Pearl Django, leader of the Tim Lerch Trio and 1/2 of a very popular guitar duo with Jamie Findlay. Over the past 50 years Tim has performed with a long list of greats in many styles.

In addition to his busy live playing and recording schedule, Tim is also a well respected and popular teacher with a busy schedule of private lessons, Masterclasses and workshops.
