I’m reading this book where it says that in a G-E7-Am-D7, the E7 is the dominant 7th of the Am so over the E7 you should play the A harmonic minor. Is this something you all do? I understand that if it was a minor ii-V then the A harmonic minor makes sense, but in this 1-6-2-5, isn’t the E7 just a dominant substitute for the diatonic Em?…Read More -
