Look for or create opportunities to meet other musicians. Long ago I attended a Puget Sound Guitar Workshop camp that included some daily swing/jazz lessons, and made some lasting contacts there. it might be easier to visualize if you break the scales up into playing areas (in this case 3 notes per string) that way you can see the areas and the overlaps without going blind looking at the whole thing at once

  Thanks, Tim. This is great. For the way my brain works, I was looking for a quick way to envision the various melodic minor chord shapes, plus extensions, close to two common 5th and 6th string V-alt chords. As always, I appreciate you guidance.
