I’m using Ableton Live for that, it’s extremely “overqualified” to use it just for that since it’s a full-fledged Digital Audio Workstation. I think any DAW could do that so if you’re already using any DAW, you could try using that. I used to use an app called “The Amazing Slow Downer” to learn songs from recordings. It would alter tempos without changing pitches, change keys without changing tempos, or change both. Unfortunately, Spotify did something that makes it so The Amazing Slow Downer no longer works on their stuff. I don’t think you can use it on Apple Music either,…Read More

Greetings from Greece! I’m Panos. I initially trained as a classical guitarist. Back in 2010 I formed a swing band and from that time I’m trying to learn this lovely music as good as it deserves.
I find this new site/workshop is a great idea. Tim is a fabulous and inspiring musician and a great teacher too! Hope the best your new project!

Hi I use transcribe ……really handy it is on https://www.seventhstring.com/ It is a very seriuos developer and the program is provided for all computersystems They also provide a searchable database for songs ……indicating in what realbook or fakebook you wil find what you are searching for. The program is always adapted to the newest operating systems.
