Hello Everyone- I had a question about comping over Nature Boy. I believe this is a chromatic descending line. I’m wondering if these are good voicings or if there is a better “staple” option out there? Thanks

Lost Mind Blues update.

I took some liberties with the Bye Bye Blackbird chord chart (attached below)—nothing dramatic, just reinterpreting the changes a bit. For practice I recorded a multitrack duet. 👇

Very nice, Kirk. Liked the solo on the middle chorus, but the chord melody and comping on the last chorus was really nice.
The hardest part of this jazz journey for me is finding others to play with; to share the art of sound and camaraderie; to learn together.
