Been playing a little bit of catch-up, but the 7/19 Thematic Blues livestream replay is up! There’s a segment at about 42 minutes that’ll be transcribed and added to the Blues Lesson area in the coming days.
Since I’m new, I hadn’t looked at the lesson yet. It was short, but such a good exercise to remember. Blues jams can encourage such bad noodling…the thematic approach might be a solution.
Hi there! Quick introduction: my name is Stuart, and I’m a new member living in West Lafayette, IN. I’ve been playing guitar for 35 years or so (oh my), but have recently rededicated myself. My current band plays some jazz standards on top of the NOLA funk that I’m used to, so I need to up my game. Excited to get going!

This is so great, it might be interesting to note that the highest guitar part is played on a short scale Guild and tuned up a fourth. George called it Guitar in F
