Solo Ideas for Tim ( or anyone care to input)
Working on Ghost of a Chance for a while now but always get stuck on the creative part after the chord structure workout and where to jump off with the solo
Any help/ideas most welcome2 CommentsHi Tim (or anyone who wants to answer)? In a Youtube video you mentioned upgrading to Glendale Compensated Brass Saddles. There are several to choose from, is their a favorite you use?
Hope everyone’s well!
Been playing a little bit of catch-up, but the 7/19 Thematic Blues livestream replay is up! There’s a segment at about 42 minutes that’ll be transcribed and added to the Blues Lesson area in the coming days.
Since I’m new, I hadn’t looked at the lesson yet. It was short, but such a good exercise to remember. Blues jams can encourage such bad noodling…the thematic approach might be a solution.

Very nice arrangement, Ian. I liked the change of feel in the middle and then back to chord melody. To me the solo belongs where you stopped but others have much more experience than me in this area…..
