• Don’t know if this would be possible or even of any interest to anyone but me, but would it be possible to select the root and chord type, and then see the corresponding specific 5 CAGED shapes on the Chord Dictionary tool?

  • Here is Joey Landreth doing his very cool thing. Remember he tunes to low tune open tuning. It’s like open E only down a few steps. Enjoy

    • Hey Jeff – At the risk of coming off as ‘that guy’, it looks to me like there is a typo in the Parallel Keys reference sheet. The sheet shows the b6 of C Natural Minor as Ab7 but, if I’m not mistaken, that should be an Abmaj7.

      • Hey Josh, no such thing as that guy when it comes to proper corrections! Thanks for that catch! I’ll tweak it and update the link ASAP.

      • Hi John, good catch. It’s been fixed, but I might also suggest that Ab7 is a very good viable sound for a substitute chord in the key of C major particularly on its way to G7. The long story is that Ab7 acts as V of G7 and Abmaj7 can act as iv minor. Lots of cool sounds for sure, thank for the good spot.
