The main reason I was interested in the workshop was to improve my solo playing concept especially with regards to fingerstyle improvisation. I find that when I ditch the pick I lose alot of my typical vocabulary especially when trying to keep the chords and bass movement together in the background. I did recently…Read More
14 CommentsJoe this is a lesson that I made for a TGW member. I’ll repost it here because I think it may be very helpful for you. You are already well on your way so it think this Vedic might really hit home for you https://youtu.be/j4jAzNAoSRY?si=IwdwRTOkoRxNSQXc
Tim, thank you very much!, this video in fact was very helpful! I need to spend some more time just meditating on the notes around each of chord grips I already know I think. Any chance there will be a “lick” pack with melodic chord stuff in the future?
Loved your rendition of Beautiful Love, Joe! The tone of your guitar is sublime; sounds like you are playing with a bass player. I am interested in what dial settings you are using on your OC-5 please, because it really works well!
I’m glad you liked it! I will have to try to recreate the settings, my 7 month old has gotten ahold of it the knobs recently!
I recorded this direct into an interface to Logic and I routed the direct line out into a guitar amp model and the effected out into a separate Bass amp model. I’m keeping an eye on Facebook Market Place for a good deal on…Read More

T=150 feels comfortable ……I got it up to 166 but the it’s no longer comfortable. Norally I play along to a Art Pepper (big band) track which features a different note before going tot the middle pa…Read More
3 CommentsWell done Erik, thank you for posting. One small thing you might look at is when you play a hammer-on/pull off ornament you are often rushing a bit. It’s a common problem but once you get the feel of laying back on those ornaments it’ll sort that out.
Tim.
